Copying one piece of content to another course

The following links will help anyone who is looking to copy one or two items from one Canvas course to another.

The same process can be applied to any Canvas items, such as Modules, Files, etc.

Copy a rubric – when you are a Teacher user on a course, you’ll have access to any rubrics within it to reuse on any other courses when using the find rubric feature in assignments (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-add-a-rubric-to-an-assignment/ta-p/1058#:~:text=To%20find%20an%20existing%20rubric,you%20have%20an%20instructor%20role.)

But to make an actual copy of a rubric to another course, I’d recommend using the Import course content option in Settings and selecting rubrics as the specific content to copy over. Guidance to this is below.

Importing a whole course or selecting specific areas

If you are faced with the prospect of building a blank course for the new academic year, it will be easier to copy all of last year’s content and make the necessary edits. The guide below will give you a step by step guide on how to bring everything over, or if you just want to copy over specific content (such as a handful of Modules or just the Quizzes)
